CASE STUDY
Refinishing a Scratched Stone Worktop
THE BEFORE — detail before restoration
The Challenge
Years of daily use had left a dense network of fine scratches and a dull patch around the sink, on a worktop that was otherwise in good condition.
The Process
The surface was refinished in stages, working the scratches out evenly across the full worktop so the sheen stayed consistent from edge to edge rather than leaving a patched-looking section.
THE PROCESS — restoration in progress
The Detail
Colour, grain or veining, texture and finish were all checked against the surrounding surface before the repair was considered complete.
THE DETAIL — matching the surrounding surface
THE AFTER — completed restoration
BEFORE / AFTER
Compare the result.
Result
The worktop regained a uniform, even finish without the cost or disruption of a full replacement.
